Principal of Markethill High Guest Speaker at Graduation of Northern Ireland’s New Teachers
The Principal of Markethill High School, Mr James Maxwell, was the guest of honour at the graduation of new teachers at Queen’s University, Belfast.
Mr Maxwell presented the newly qualified teachers with their certification of degree completion, and spoke about teaching as a profession.
Mr Maxwell encouraged the graduates to develop a love for educational research, to build strong relationships in the classroom based on high expectations, firm boundaries and demonstration of interest in each pupil’s strengths and interests, and to be reflective practitioners in the interests of ongoing professional development.
