Scripture Union meets every Wednesday at lunch time in Room 9. SU provides pupils with the opportunity to have fellowship through worship, prayer and Bible study.
Within SU this year the teachers have been giving talks on lesser known characters in the Bible such as Cornelius and Epaphras. The pupils are also given the opportunity to lead sessions under the guidance of the staff. This year SU participated in the SHINE progress in association with Crown Jesus Ministries and SUNI. As part of this project the pupils produced a video advertising SU to school and they took a junior and senior assembly. Within SU the pupils collected £40 to help provide Bibles for the Dinka Tribe in Sudan.
In October the SU weekend took place in Castlewellan Castle. The pupils had an exciting trip down to Newcastle in the school mini bus with Miss Howe at the wheel. Whilst on the weekend pupils got the chance to worship, ask questions and have quiet time led by the senior pupils. The students also got the chance to play games, go into Newcastle and chill out and get to know each other better.
SU is a fun and relaxing time where everyone is more than welcome!
