The course in Business Studies will give pupils the opportunity to explore the business world. The course gives pupils the opportunity to develop knowledge and understanding of the features and dynamics of business activity from a wide range of perspectives.  Furthermore, Business Studies is very much linked to Learning for Life and Work and Business Communication Systems.

Tier of entry
    
  
One single tier of entry which allows student’s access to all grades ranging from A* - G..        

Examination Requirements
       

Candidates will be required to undertake two written papers.        

Paper 1
        (30%) – Unit 1 examination which is 1hr 20 min in duration        

Paper 2
        (40%) – Unit 2 examination which is 1hr 40 min in duration.        

Coursework.
(25%)  A compulsory requirement is that each candidate will complete a controlled assessment.  One task from a range of tasks released by CCEA.  The   controlled task is internally assessed.
